The fit is much more about proportion than being loose or stretchy. On me, the waist sat correctly and the shoulders looked clean, which made the whole outfit feel intentional. The only thing I had to plan around was length. With flats it did not look quite right, but with a heel the line fell much better. I would definitely look at the actual measurements first instead of assuming your normal size will work exactly the same here. That made the whole look feel more natural on me.
